About SU's MSCA
Sponsored by the Maryland State Department of Education and Salisbury
University, the Maryland Summer Center for the Arts (MSCA) offers
talented middle and high school students across the state an opportunity
to study music/orchestra, visual arts, musical theatre, digital video
production and acting in a two-week residential setting.
A competitive educational program, students audition each year to work
with dedicated artists/teachers and other professionals drawn from the
University and surrounding communities. Selected students attend five to
six hours of class each day and live in small groups to develop
problem-solving, interpersonal and community-building skills. Field
trips, workshops and performances by guest artists enhance the learning
experiencing.
