Equipment

All equipment in the Media Services area exist to serve the Students, Faculty and Staff of the University. Equipment may be signed out or used for academic functions only

You must have a Valid Student ID before anything can be checked out, and you must complete a Faculty or Student Contract. To download a contract click on the appropriate PDF below.

All equipment is available for a maximum of one day or over a weekend, other lengths of time must be coordinated with the management of Media Services.

Many items require special training or orientation prior to use and as always regularly scheduled classes take priority. Call Media Services Manager Cynthia Cornish @36301 or Ray Fantini @ 36231 for more details.

The final decision on approval of equipment use will be determined by Media Services. Media Services reserves the right to change or amend the policy without prior notice

Panasonic DVC Pro Digital Broadcast quality production camera.

Requires completion of Electronic Field Production and prior approval to use.

Panasonic AG-HVX200 and  HPX170 P2 Broadcast quality production camcorders.

JVC GY-DV500 Mini DV camcorder. broadcast quality digital camcorder, with portabrace soft case and batteries, four units available.

Sony HDV Camcorders

Flipvide Digital Camcorders

Ideal for easy web or classroom video.

Cannon Mini DV Palmcorder. with soft case and batteries. ten units available.

JVC X3 S-VHS High Quality S-VHS camcorder, two units available.

Field Production Equipment

Lowell Lighting Kits, four sets available.

Requires completion of EFP and prior Approval to use.

Tripods, microphones, monitors and other EFP items.

Requires prior Approval to use.

Marantz Audio Flash recorders

Requires  prior approval to use.

All equipment can be reserved and returned to the check out counter

Hours of operation for the counter for the Fall semester will be Monday thru Thursday, 9AM to 11pm, 9 Am to 5 PM on Friday and closed on Saturdays
