Editing
Salisbury University operates eight
Avid non linear editing bays.

Editing systems are intended to
support students in the CMAT ( Communications Arts )
department, but are available for use by any Salisbury
University Student or Faculty for academic projects only
At this time we support the Mini DV,
DVC pro , S-VHS and VHS format
All editing systems can be reserved for use in
Caruthers Hall room 167 at the reservation desk.
Equipment is only available during regularly scheduled
hours and during normal campus work days. No systems can
be used during regularly scheduled classes in that area
and CMAT department students take precedence over
outside groups
Under no circumstances can ANY copyrighted material
be copied, edited or reproduced in this area; all
machines are equipped with copy guard technology that
will prevent recording protected material
Anyone who attempts to defeat this
hardware will be asked to leave the area
In order to reserve or use editing facilities you
must first have completed the CMAT 236 ( electronic
field production ) course or obtained training from the
Media Services department.
A dedicated Avid system and DVD
authoring station are available for Faculty or non
traditional student use, with all above rules applying

We also maintain one traditional or
analog editing system for providing cuts only editing;
this system will support S-VHS and VHS formats.
