The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science Tutoring Program does not directly provide private tutoring. However, the Department does maintain a list of tutors who are interested in being informed of private tutoring opportunities. So, if you're in the market for a private Math or Computer Science tutor, please contact Jenny Howard in our main office at (410) 543-6140, HS 140, to be put in contact with a potential private tutor.

DISCLAIMER: The Department's only involvement in private tutoring arrangements is to provide the contact information of available tutors to interested parties. We have no involvement in, nor do we assume responsibility for, any further arrangements (regarding meeting location, schedule, payment, etc.) between the private tutor and the parties seeking private tutoring.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science does not guarantee the availability of any tutors.

* Students in other departments' lower-level courses with similar mathematical content to our 100- and 200-level courses may also make use of our tutoring program. However, anytime the tutoring room is especially busy, students being helped with MATH or COSC courses have priority over any other students in the room.

*Math 105 has many specialized topics that are not taught in a traditional mathematics curriculum.  The tutors can help with the underlying mathematics but they may not have seen these types of applications.

* Tutoring is intended primarily for the courses listed at the top of this page. It is not intended for MATH classes numbered 300 or higher.
