About WebCT
Selected by the Learning Technology committee of the SU Faculty Senate
(November 2000), WebCT is a tool that facilitates the creation of
sophisticated World Wide Web-based education environments. It can
be used to provide supplemental instructional resources for courses.
Furthermore, WebCT will be the principal application for online and
hybrid course development.
WebCT provides:

a set of educational tools to facilitate learning, communication and
collaboration

an interface allowing the design of the presentation of the course
(color schemes, page layout, etc.)

a set of administrative tools to assist the instructor in the process
of management and continuous improvement of the course.
