and access to company stock reports and historical price data.
Stock reports are available for any U.S. company that is publicly
traded. If a company is a subsidiary of a parent company, look for
stock reports/price data of the parent company since the subsidiary's
information is not reported separately.

Click on the 'Company' icon from the main screen.

Enter the company name or ticker symbol, choose 'ultimate parent',
and click the 'search' button at the bottom of the screen.

Click your company name on the results list.

At the top of the screen are various tabs to company
information--choose 'Investment Reports'.

On the next screen, click on the link to 'Company Financial

Mergent Online
Blackwell Library subscribes to the U.S. Company/International Company
Data modules.

Do a 'Basic Search' for the company name or ticker symbol.

Click on the company name on the next search screen.

Click on the various tabs across the top for detailed information
(Company Details--Capital Stock, TearSheets).
Morningstar

Morningstar's data reports cover more than 20,000 securities with
historical data back to 1996. Off-campus, sign in using your Gull
Card barcode and last name. Choose Salisbury University as the
campus and then click the log in button.

Under 'Reports', enter a company's ticker or name and click on 'Go'.

Click on the various links across the left of the screen for
detailed information (Snapshot, Quote, Analyst Research, Morningstar
Rating, Data Interpreter, Valuation Ratios, Financial Statements,
Key Ratios, Charts, Dividends & Returns, SEC Filings, Owners &
Estimates).

Remember to click on 'End Session' at the top right to exit program.
Standard
& Poor's Stock Reports (quarterly)
Reference HG 4905 .S4455 v. 1-2
ASE, NASDAQ, & NYSE company reports are provided together in 2
volumes. Provides a detailed listing of key income statement and
balance sheet items and an analysis of the most recent earnings
report. The reports also provide data on dividends, stock
price ranges, capitalization, management and significant recent
developments.
ValueLine Database
This database is only available in the Blackwell Library
Reference Area. Ask the reference staff to sign you on.

Click on the link to 'The ValueLine Investment Survey Online -
Standard Edition.

On the left toolbar, click on the link to 'Lookup Company'.

Type in your company name or ticker symbol. (Note: This
version of ValueLine only covers 1700 stocks in 98 industries so all
companies are not covered)

On the results list, click on the various reports that
appear--note the industry your company is categorized in.-
For an industry report, click on 'Lookup Industry' on the left tool
bar.

Select your industry.

For an overview of the industry, select 'Industry Commentary'.
For all the companies listed for comparison, click on 'Industry -
Company Breakdown' and then select the reports you want to view.

The market summary covered on the home page. To locate information
for a specific company, enter the ticker symbol in the search box at the
top of the page (use symbol lookup if the ticker symbol is unknown).

Pricing data goes back a number of years, however, the
researcher will need to input each date separately.

Each quarterly book is divided into 2 parts. Part I,
"Major Technical Indicators of the Stock Market." Part II,
"Daily and Weekly Stock Action," gives the daily and weekly
record of stocks listed on each exchange.

Markets & Share Price Information (Karen Blakeman)
Blakeman provides global stock exchange and price data links per
country.
Wall Street Journal (Eastern Edition)
Refer to Section C: Money & Investing for stock price data.
Pages 1-2 usually include overall trading activity for stock exchanges
(Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite, S&P 500 & Russell
2000). Section C also covers individual stocks on each of the
exchanges offering high, low, & close data and yearly activity.
WSJ Paper Copies:
Today's WSJ is located in the newspaper section of the Current
Periodicals on the 1st Floor of Blackwell Library.
Current issues are retained in paper until microfilm arrives.
Electronic Copies:
