If the item(s) you want are in our
building, it's extremely simple to get them. Just
grab your Gull Card, and walk on over to get your stuff!
You can check out books for 28
days or until the end of the semester - whichever comes
first.
You cannot check out or remove journals from the
library, but you can make Xerox copies of them for just
ten cents per page.

If other USM-schools (College Park,
Towson, UMES, etc.) have the book you
want, you can locate it & then order it through our
combined online book catalog.
Any circulating book within a USM-system
school that you request will be marked for immediate
delivery to you, and is a free service.
All ordered books can be picked up
at the library's Circulation Desk and checked out with
your Gull Card.

If you want a journal article that
isn't in our own physical library (check first
here!) or a book that isn't in our own library or
in the entire USM-system (check first
here!) then you can order it from somewhere else.
Where *can* you get it from?
Don't worry about it - figuring that out is our
job. You just need to ask for it.

journal articles and/or books is called ILLiad (ILL =
InterLibraryLoan) and you link in to
it here.
