The Bowker Book Analysis System (BBAS)
is a way for us to assess our current collection and to compare
it to a formal list of what we 'should' have for an
undergraduate institution of our size and scope. The
'should have' list is created and compiled by RCL -
Resources for College
Libraries.
Dr. Bahr, Dean of the library, has made
additional monies available to buy any of the BBAS titles
that we see fit. (NB: this money is
separate from your normal departmental funds for purchasing
books - and as such the two order lists must be kept separate!)
The only stipulation is that all
BBAS title orders must
be turned in by Friday, December 14th.
