Holloway Hall
Graduate Guides - Locating Scholarly Articles

In order to locate articles within Blackwell Library, you must first use our Index and Article Databases.  From there, you will gain access to databases that will allow you to locate articles that you need to complete your research.

Journals in Blackwell Library

To determine if the desired journal if available within Blackwell Library, you then must either refer to our online list of journals available in Blackwell Library or consult the binders available near the research terminals within the library, which also contain an alphabetical list of journals available in our library.  The most recent editions of journals are available on the ground floor of the library, consisting of the last one or two years of the journal.  Most others are bound and shelved in alphabetical order on the second floor of the library.

Articles requested from off-campus

You may identify an article that you desire to have for your research, but that is unavailable in our library.  In many cases, you can order this article free of charge using our online Interlibrary Loan form for articles or the paper version of the form.  The typical amount of time for which you will wait for the article to arrive is approximately two or three weeks, so conduct your research in advance.

For help at any time, feel free to contact a reference library by calling (410) 548-5988 or by submitting an email stating your question to reflib@salisbury.edu.
