The Judicial Process
Types of Hearings:
Informal Conference: The accused student
shall be directed to appear for an informal conference with a
case administrator where he/she will be given an opportunity to
receive information about the Code of Conduct hearing process.
Administrative Hearing: The accused student
meets with a judicial administrator to determine responsibility
for the charges issued and to assess sanctions if the student is
found responsible. Decisions will be reached by a preponderance
of evidence.
Community Hearing: The accused student meets
with a board which is usually comprised of two or three faculty
or administrators and one or two student representation. They
meet with the student to determine responsibility for the
charges issued and to assess sanctions if the student is found
responsible. Decisions will be reached by a preponderance of
evidence.
