Because Salisbury is situated between the Chesapeake Bay and the
Atlantic Ocean, the climate here is rather mild, and the weather often
humid. In the summer the high temperatures range from 85 F (29 C) to 95F
(35C) and in the winter the lows range from 20F (-12C) to 30F (-6.5C),
with 40F (4.5 C) being the average winter temperature. Although
Salisbury rarely experiences extreme weather conditions (i.e.
hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards), heavy thunderstorms occur from April
through September. This mild climate provides for small amount of snow
during our short winter, beautiful springs, tropical summers and warm
autumns.
