Application Process

Applying to the English Language Program is a different process than applying as a student at the University. Please see the directions below for more information about how to join the ELI.

Who Should Apply?

The English Language Institute is intended for non-native speakers who wish to improve their English fluency in order to apply to an American university. Salisbury University requires a TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) in order to apply as a degree-seeking student. If your TOEFL score is below a 550, consider enrolling in the ELI as a way to improve your English skills.

The Application Process

For application information, please fill out the ELI Application (paper), and return it to SUCIE.  You may also apply on-line at: http://www.salisbury.edu/intled/eli/applynow.html

Additionally, please submit the following:

1) High school diploma or university/college transcript

2) Financial document with proof of funds.
