EXCURSIONS: The program features a free weekend for students to explore Berlin or other parts of Europe if the opportunity arises. Site visits will consist of tours and visits to companies in and around Berlin. Students finish their time abroad with a three day stay in London where they will have an opportunity to explore the city.

HOUSING: Students will stay in tourist-class hotels located near the exchange school, public transportation, local eateries and tourist attractions.

COST: Total cost of the business and culture program will be determined in fall 2010.  The price includes: tuition, housing, all breakfasts and two dinners, round trip transportation-plane and train, site visits, ground transfers and taxes and assistance by program staff traveling with group.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT INFORMATION:  An initial deposit of $1500 is due at the time of application.  This deposit is part of the total advertised cost of the program.  Once a student is academically admitted by the faculty director, the initial non-refundable deposit is due to the Cashier’s Office.  The student will be automatically enrolled into the study abroad course.  The University Billing Office will then bill each registered student for the total cost of the study abroad program (less the deposit amount) through the regular university billing system.  Standard University deadlines for withdrawals do not apply to study abroad programs.  Once the published Application Deadline occurs, the accepted student is responsible for the entire amount of the study abroad program charge.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:  Application forms are available at the Center for International Education or from the faculty director.  Admission is competitive and enrollment is limited to 30 participants.  Students will be admitted on a rolling basis until the program is full.  Students will be selected based on business discipline, GPA (a minimum of a 2.5 required), written essay and 2 letters of recommendation.
