Salisbury University students are able to study Arabic language and culture along with French language, while taking a variety of courses in English in Meknès, Morocco at the Moulay Ismael University through SU's long-term affiliated study abroad partner, International Studies Abroad. The Meknès Language, Culture and Society program provides students with little or no Arabic or French language experience the opportunity to choose among courses taught in English. Students may select courses in subjects such as history, culture, architecture, arts, religion, politics, gender studies, and more. Additionally, students are required to enroll in an Arabic or French language course if they have taken less than one semester or one quarter of either language. Beginning in 2012, semester students will begin their program in cosmopolitan Casablanca, with a multi-day orientation excursion before traveling to Meknès For more information and application materials see the International Studies Abroad: Morocco Semester website. |
