Salisbury University students are able to study Spanish language, culture and civilization as well as courses in English in areas such as international business, communications, environment, and economics, in San Jose, Costa Rica at the Universidad Latina - San Pedro, through SU's long-term affiliated study abroad partner, International Studies Abroad. The Business, Spanish Language and Latin American Culture program is designed to be a focused program for students wanting to study a range of topics, including Spanish language, international business, international communications and environmental studies. Spanish Language courses are instructed in Spanish while all other elective courses are instructed in English. Classes consist of ISA students with approximately 15 students per class. Electives courses are typically 45 hours each, while language courses are 45 – 120 hours. Students are placed into a language level based on the number of semesters/quarters of college-level Spanish previously taken.
