International Faculty Development Seminars are
intensive educational experiences
designed to explore fascinations, challenge preconceptions,
and open eyes to global issues shaping the world today. Each
program features lectures, site visits, and discussions with
overseas academics and colleagues. Participants return to
campus poised to incorporate an international dimension into
administration, course design, research, and teaching.
This program provides grants to support overseas
projects in training, research, and curriculum
development in modern foreign languages and area
studies for teachers, students, and faculty engaged
in a common endeavor. Projects may include
short-term seminars, curriculum development, group
research or study, or advanced intensive language
programs.
