SALISBURY ABROAD PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT GRANT
SALISBURY ABROAD
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS (Up to $1000) -
Salisbury University is continually developing strategic global
partnerships with select universities and higher education
centers around the world. These Salisbury Abroad partners
offer academic opportunities for the entire University campus.
Our Salisbury Abroad partners have expressed specific interest
in the exchange of faculty. Faculty interested in spending
a period of time abroad at a Salisbury Abroad partner engaged in
teaching, lecturing, collaborating with colleagues, developing
joint research projects, or engaging in other professional
development may apply for a Faculty Salisbury Abroad Partner
Development Grant.
Salisbury Abroad Partners
include:
-
University of Tartu, Tartu,
Estonia
-
Centers for Interamerican
Studies, Cuenca, Ecuador
-
Anqing University, Anqing,
China
-
University of Malaga,
Malaga, Spain
Your proposal should
include:
-
A
description of your interest in the global
partner and the activity you would be interested in pursuing
(teach, lecture, joint research, etc) including the time frame
you are available;
-
A full Curriculum Vita
Grants will be evaluated
based on the faculty proposal and the needs of the Salisbury
Abroad partner. The Center for International Education can
facilitate planning between the SU faculty applicant and the
proposed host Salisbury Abroad Partner. Preference will be
extended to faculty with less international experience.
The grant is meant to
assist in covering international travel costs. Different
Salisbury Abroad partners provide different support for visiting
faculty. Such support may include housing, office space,
stipends, etc and will be determined on a case by case basis.
The deadline for
proposals is 5p.m. November 6, 2013.
Please submit applications and address any questions to:
