How to get
your degree
recognized by
your home
country
In
order to have your college records accepted/recognized in your
country - the following four steps need to be completed BEFORE
you return home.
Go to
the Salisbury University Registrars Office and they will prepare
a letter stating that the University is an approved institution
in the State of Maryland. This letter must be signed and
notarized by the Registrar.
II The Registrar's letter and the diploma should be
taken to the Clerk of the Courts in Wicomico
County:

The
Clerk will prepare a letter stating that Salisbury University is
located in the Wicomico County in the State of Maryland. This
letter must be signed and notarized by the Clerk of the Courts.
The Registrar's letter, the Clerk of the Courts'
letter and the diploma should be taken to the State Board for
Higher Education (SBHE)

The
Commissioner of Higher Education will prepare a letter,
certifying that Salisbury University is approved to operate in
the State of Maryland, and that the particular field of study in
which the student received a diploma is approved by the S.B.H.E.
This letter must be signed and notarized by the Commissioner of
Higher Education.
The above three letters and the student's diploma
should then be taken to the Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland

letter will be prepared by this office certifying all these
documents for the student to take to the Embassy in their
country.
