Transfer Application Requirements:

Students who have graduated from a high school/secondary school and who have also earned credits at a post-secondary institution (i.e. college or university) should apply as transfer students.  Students who have graduated or will graduate from high school but have not earned credits at a post-secondary institution should apply as a freshman (first-time) student.

    Salisbury University accepts the CollegeNet Application
    Application fee: USD 50.

  2. Official Transcripts, Diploma, Mark sheets

    Original or attested copies of all transcripts, diplomas, mark sheets and certificates from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended are required.

    All credentials must be official, original documents or notarized attested copies of the original. Copies, faxes and scanned documents will not be accepted.  Documents must be mailed in a sealed envelope directly from a secondary school, examination board or university (see mailing address below).

    Transfer applicants must submit credentials from non-U.S. institutions to a credential evaluation agency for a course-by-course evaluation with a grade point average (GPA) calculation.  Salisbury recommends a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (  The credential evaluation report must be sent directly from the evaluation service to the Office of International Recruitment and Admissions.

  3. Proof of English Proficiency

    Salisbury requires all international applicants from a non-English speaking country to submit proof of English proficiency.

    English proficiency can be demonstrated by submitting/completing ONE of the following official scores/programs:

    • Completion of Salisbury University’s English Language Institute or another approved English Language partner of Salisbury University.
    • TOEFL (Salisbury Code: 5403)
      • 79 iBT or higher
      • 550 pBT or higher
    • IELTS
      • 6.5 or higher overall band score (5.5 minimum in each band). Have scores sent to "Salisbury University, Office of International Recruitment and Admissions.
    • SAT (Salisbury Code: 5403)
      • SAT Critical Reading (old) – 420
    • ACT (Salisbury Code: 1716)
      • English Section Only - top 25 percentile
    • British Ordinary Level English Language Exam (GCE/GCSE/IGCSE)
      • Grade of A, B or C in First-Language English. Submit original or certified true copy of certificate
    • EIKEN
      • pre - 1 level

    Conditional Admission 
    Prospective undergraduate students who meet all admission requirements except for English proficiency will be offered conditional admission to SU.

    Note: Score results must be from a test taken within the past three years.  Official test scores must be sent directly from the testing organization to Salisbury.  A student's complete application is holistically reviewed before a decision is made and meeting the minimum English proficiency score does not guarantee admission.
