Salisbury University has been transformed by its quest for academic excellence.  From its humble beginnings as a school for teachers, SU has launched itself into regional prominence as a powerhouse academic institution.

Here’s how you get in on the action. First, check our list of academic schools below.

Undergraduates can take classes in all five of our academic schools and choose from more than 100 majors and concentrations!

Perdue School of Business

  • Among only 5 percent of business schools world-wide to be AACSB accredited, and its American Marketing Association chapter has been named one of the top 20 in the country.
  • In 2016, the annual Perdue Entrepreneurship competition had a prize pool of nearly $100,000 in start-up capital for students with the best new business proposals.

Seidel School of Educational and Professional Studies

  • SU has produced some 50 Maryland Teachers of the Year since 2003, including two statewide winners.
  • The Social Work Department offers B.S.W. and M.S.W. programs across the state and in Europe.

Fulton School of Liberal Arts

  • Named one of The Princeton Review’s “Great Schools for Communication Majors,” SU has an 18,500 square feet (1,700 square meter) Integrated Media Center for media and music production.
  • SU is one of only two schools nationally to offer both an undergraduate and graduate degree in conflict analysis and dispute resolution.

Henson School of Science and Technology

  • The school’s focus on undergraduate research, including National Science Foundation summer research opportunities, have helped students secure many fellowships.
  • SU’s nursing program is widely regarded as one of the best in the region and our graduates have the highest pass rates in the University System of Maryland.

Honors College

  • Designed to bring together high-achieving students and dedicated faculty from all four schools in a small university environment.
  • Students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members on individualized research.
