PDF files (or Portable Document Format) can be created from virtually any file that can be printed.  This format retains the original look, layout, and formatting of your original document and keeps the file size to a minimum.  PDF files can also be created from scanned documents. 

Each workstation in the Faculty Development Studio has Adobe Acrobat for creating and editing PDF files.

PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader which is available free for download.  Computer labs supported by Information Technology already have Acrobat Reader installed. 

NEW If you are using Microsoft Office 2007, there is a free download for you which will allow you to print as a PDF.
