The Office of Instructional Design and Delivery offers workshops and support
for the following software packages:
Camtasia
Produce quality videos for the web and mobile devices and online courses.
Camtasia allows faculty to record narrated PowerPoint presentations and screen
shots. The final video can produced to use in MyClasses, iTunes U or the web.
iTunes U
iTunes U provides faculty the ability to upload customized podcasts and
vodcasts that they want students to download to their iPod or mp3 player. This
service requires that the faculty member requests an account to have an area for
uploads of files. If you wish to have an account, please fill out our
request form.
Panopto
Panopto, a class capture system, has been selected as the campus solution
starting Fall 2011. The system can capture computer screens, audio and/or video
for later playback by the students in a course through MyClasses.
Turnitin
Plagiarism Prevention
TurnItIn Originality Check is the plagiarism prevention software that is used in conjunction
with our course management system. This service is used to check student paper
submissions for possible plagiarism. This service can also be used to instruct
students on the practice of proper source citation. You must have a MyClasses
account in order to use TurnItIn.
Respondus
Respondus is a test authoring and generating software package. Many
publishers provide tests and quizzes through this service, which can be
downloaded and customized. Faculty can also create their own original tests with
this software and upload them automatically to their MyClasses course. For more
information on publisher-provided exams and quizzes, you can search the
Respondus database.
Respondus LockDown Browser
Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing
environment within MyClasses. Students are locked into the assessment and are
unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. This
service is available to all faculty using MyClasses by editing the properties of
their online assessments and choosing to use the LockDown Browser in the
Security Settings section.
TurningPoint (clickers)
TurningPoint is the adopted Student Response System (SRS) at Salisbury
University. Faculty can use TurningPoint to poll students inside Microsoft
PowerPoint. Live data is collected and displayed within the slideshow to show
