Troubleshooting Java Versions for MyClasses @ SU

MyClasses @ SU requires Java for several tools such as MyComputer applet, Chat, Who's Online, etc.  The Check Browser utility verifies your web browser and Java versions with those recommended for MyClasses @ SU, Campus Edition 6 version.  When a version of Java does not match one that is validated for use with MyClasses - you will continue to see the Check Browser appear until the problem is fixed.  This can be annoying, especially as new versions of Java are released but have not been validated for MyClasses @ SU.

Note: While Internet Explorer seems to display the check browser each time you click on a page when the Java version is not validated, consider using Firefox instead.  That way if you need a version which is not validated the Check browser will only appear twice - when you enter the MyClasses @ SU page and when you click on a course to enter the homepage.

The recommended version of Java is Java Runtime Environment Version 6 Update 6 which can be obtained from http://www.salisbury.edu/library/tlr/cms/welcome.html.
