workshop.
Fast Track
In this workshop, current users of MyClasses Campus
Edition will experience the Blackboard Learn environment as it compares to
our current version of MyClasses. Learn how the tools and activities you are
using in your Campus Edition course will appear and interact in the Learn
platform. This workshop will guide you through the steps of migrating your
courses to Learn as well as new teaching and learning practices you can
adopt using the enhanced course management system. 3 hours in length.

Getting Started with MyClasses @ SU
In the getting started workshop you will learn what MyClasses is all
about. You will learn what each of the tools and features can do to enhance
your course. Experience the MyClasses environment as a student as you browse
through a course, post messages in a discussion, take a quiz, submit an
assignment and view your grade online.

Additional workshops:
Communicating with Students in MyClasses
Participants will gain hands-on experience with a variety of
communication tools. Participants will first learn to use the Announcements,
Syllabus, and Calendar tools to inform students about important course
information. They will then explore the Chat and Virtual Classroom tools
used for synchronous communication. Strategies for effectively using the
tools to enhance learning will be presented throughout the course.

Presenting Content in MyClasses
This workshop introduces participants to the different types of content
that can be added to a course. After reviewing options for sharing
individual files with students, participants will learn to build
Learning Modules. Participants will learn how to add files from their
computer, including html pages, PDFs, folders, images, audio, and video
files.

Making the Most of Discussions in MyClasses
In this workshop, participants will explore how to use the Discussions
tool to enhance teaching and learning. They will learn the functionality
of the tool, including how to view and post messages, and create new
forums and threads. Participants will learn to moderate, manage, and
grade postings.

Working with Assignments & Groups in MyClasses
In this workshop, participants will then become familiar with the
Assignments tool and how it can be used to create individual or group
assignments that can be submitted. Collaboration options for assignments
will also be explored. Participants will learn to use the Grade Center to
grade and return assignments. We will explore use the Collaboration tool to
create groups, sign-up sheets and group activities.

Working with Online Quizzes, Tests & Surveys in MyClasses
In this workshop, participants will learn to create, manage, and grade
assessments. Working as a Course Builder, you will learn to create a
variety of question types as you build quizzes, self-tests and surveys.
Through hands-on exercises, participants will explore the numerous
assessment features and available settings. Publishing a quiz from
Respondus will also be explored. Participants will use the Grade Cneter
to grade quizzes, view surveys and generate reports.

Working with the Grade Center in MyClasses
In this workshop, participants will learn to navigate the Grade Center
and tailor it to meet their needs. You will learn how to create
additional columns, including weighted, graded and text columns. Learn
how to manage section members and grades, export grades, import grades
and access audit trails and individual performance reports from the
Evaulation Report tool.
