What Former Students Say

Myra Clements - IT Advisory Associate, KPMG
The knowledge I've gained from Salisbury University's ERP Classes and TERP10 have helped me tremendously in transitioning into the professional world with confidence. I have been able to apply my understanding of business processes and internal controls in the few short weeks I've been with KPMG as an IT Advisory Associate. The Professors and courses offered within SU's SAP program have produced students who have the ability to learn and apply themselves. Students will learn just as much about themselves as they will new material!

Michael Fratto - Financial Analyst, Northrop Grumman
The SAP background I learned because of INFO 370 and INFO 371 have helped me tremendously at my new job! I am in SAP everyday and having that background has been a huge help! I am now a financial analyst at Northrop Grumman and love it!

Allison Ferrero - IT Advisory Associate, KPMG
TERP10 has definitely helped me understand the SAP system of my client more. Being a new hire, I was nervous I would feel completely behind on my first on-site client visit. I was actually able to keep up with them when going through the SAP portion - my manager was impressed I knew about MRP and the business processes. Even though I am not specifically working with SAP, the certification increases my skill set which allows me to get chosen for different projects - which leads to networking and possible chances to travel. TERP10 is a one-hundred percent worth the 10 days of hard work. I originally was leaning towards not taking it, especially because of the money, but I am forever thankful you didn't give up on me and I ended up taking it..and passing!

Christopher Fowler - Staff Auditor, Maryland General Assembly, Office of Legislative Audits
It has been about 5 months since I started working as an auditor for the State and I believe the TERP10 course as well as 370 and 471 have helped a lot with my job. While I don't exactly work with SAP, the State system has many similarities and I feel my understanding of SAP has helped me understand it better. What has really benefited me the most though is the understanding of business processes. Through the detailed understanding of those processes, I am better able to notice internal control deficiencies within the agencies we audit and with that, along with the knowledge of ERP systems I can identify if any kind of automated control within the system could reduce the risk. My boss, who is also an SU grad, has actually had a few conversations with me regarding the ERP Information Systems Minor I received so she can evaluate whether our office should look more for something like that when recruiting.

Paige Roosa - IT Specialist – System Analysis (ERP) for Commander, Navy Installations Command, Information Technology Branch (Department of the Navy)
Having a whole course dedicated to learning the organizational units, master data and processes established a very in-depth knowledge of how the system worked, which was then expanded on by taking the configuration course. Then, by taking the TERP10 course and obtaining the certification, I was able to further my learning and get well-rounded basis knowledge of the different modules. Also, having the certification was a great way to impress interviewers. Being able to leave college with more than just knowledge of the theory and having the hands-on experience that we had in class with the system, was a great boost. They were impressed at the level of information I learned in school. I owe everything to your great teaching and the opportunities I had at Salisbury, or I would have never been able to have been offered this job. It is crazy to think I took Info370 as an elective as it was the only class that filled my schedule, and it turned out to change my life.

Eric Church - IT Advisory Associate, KPMG
The ERP experience I had going into job interviews is what set me apart from other applicants. It gave me a competitive advantage that, I believe, helped land my job at KPMG in Baltimore. The ERP classes taught the business processes in an applicable and top ERP system that is used by most Fortune 500 companies.

I was originally going to be an accounting major but switched to info major with accounting minor. This was a great move because I still had all the accounting knowledge as well as the knowledge of SAP. I truly feel that no matter what your business major is, you should have at least a few courses in ERP. It's more than likely that the company students work for, or a company they do work with, will use an ERP system.
