The Interdisciplinary Studies – Individual Track major allows
students to create a major by combining two or more academic
disciplines. The following disciplines are
some of just many possibilities to
combine within an IDIS proposal:

In addition to these specific disciplines,
students have also combined courses in these disciplines to
focus on areas such as Business and Professional Writing,
Creative Arts, Comparative Literature, Earth Science,
Environmental/Land-Use Planning, Ethnic and Intercultural
Studies, International Studies, Religious Studies, Social
Studies and much more.
*Education, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and
Social Work courses may only be used if transferring from
one of these majors. Once a declared Interdisciplinary Studies
major, students cannot enroll in courses from these professional
programs.
**Business Administration has a pre-approved
program that must be followed if students are interested in
combining business courses in their Interdisciplinary Studies
program.
