The Department of Management and Marketing at Salisbury University's Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing. Possibly, two positions are open; the second is pending final approval.
Primary Job Duties: Teach at the undergraduate and possibly graduate level while maintaining an active research agenda. Primary consideration will be given to a candidate with experience or interest in teaching from among the following courses: Professional Sales, Sales Management, B2B Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy and Customer Relationship Marketing. An additional sampling of courses includes: Principles, Direct/Interactive Marketing, and Consumer Behavior. The normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester. We are especially looking for candidates who utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Marketing or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution with a strong preference for Ph.D. If ABD; would be hired at the rank of Instructor with the requirement that the doctoral degree be completed within one year of hire date.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Documented or demonstrated potential for excellence in both teaching and scholarship and strong oral and written communication skills are required. Fit with department needs in terms of teaching and research will be considered.
