Employees of the Month

December 2017
Robert "Bob" Holden
Robert "Bob" Holden
Bus Driver
Bus Operations
Bob was nominated by Fleet Coordinator, Colleen Kirby for going above and beyond and exceeding customer expectations. The nomination states, “Over the past 3 years that Bob has been employed as a Bus Driver at SU I have received numerous compliments from both staff and faculty regarding his job performance. For example, Bob was scheduled to pick up the CMAT group from Reagan Int’l Airport as they were returning from a study abroad trip to Ecuador. Due to flight delays and cancellations, what was supposed to be a 10:30am pick-up turned into a 1:00am pick-up. The group was very appreciative of Bob’s willingness to pick them up so late and sent an email to me recognizing Bob. On another occasion, Bob drove a group to the governor’s mansion for an event. When dropping off, he noticed that some of his passengers had difficulty stepping out of the van. Before picking the group up, Bob purchased a step stool from a local store and had it in place to use to make it easier to board. As a result, I received an email from Robert Sheehan, who wrote, I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for Bob. Not only is he a fantastic driver, but yesterday evening he went above and beyond during our trip to the Governor’s mansion. This attention to detail is enormously appreciated!” In closing, the nomination states, “I have told Bob on many occasions, his acts of going above and beyond go a long way, are appreciated and make the whole department look good!”
