Doug was nominated by Associate Director of Dining Services, George Oakley for his excellent responsiveness and follow-through. The nomination states, “Doug has gone above and beyond in assisting Dining Services implement new technology in their operations.” Examples cited include the seamless transition to a new One Card system, the opening of the concession unit at Seagull Stadium, the opening of both dining locations in the Guerrieri Academic Commons and the opening of Chick-fil-A. George stated, “In every project that he has assisted us, Doug follows through after a change or opening, coming on site to assist as needed, and maintaining communication with management to resolve any remaining issues. Doug’s participation and responsiveness with Dining Service’s technology needs has made him an invaluable asset to our department and to the University. Thank you Doug.” In closing, a letter of support from IT Director, Steve Blankenship, stated, “Doug is one of the most professional, intelligent and customer focused employees in the IT department who works every day as an effective considerate member of his team.”
