Carolyn was nominated by Owen Rosten, Director of Dining Services for outstanding performance, exemplary teamwork and organizational abilities. The nomination states “Carolyn has embraced change in Dining Services and supports staff to accomplish quality objectives in a very demanding environment. Carolyn delegates work load, makes solid decisions to ensure we are ready for service and works with coworkers to develop skills, strong work habits and commitment to the students we are here to serve. She handles days when we may be short staffed or food deliveries are late with her consistent confidence, calm demeanor and “get it done” attitude. Carolyn has been instrumental in the smooth introduction of the new Commons Fall menu, the Fiesta and Wok ‘n’ Roll exhibition stations and the expanded fresh salad bar. Carolyn is respected by her coworkers and managers and I value Carolyn personally as a great leader and example to the Dining Services team.” In closing, the nomination states, “Although Carolyn’s work is primarily behind the scenes, the campus should know that Carolyn’s work ethic and care for our students is a driving force for what is enjoyed in the Commons Dining Hall.”
