Gloria was nominated by Crystal Dickerson, Career Services Program Management Specialist and Charlie Endicott, Career Services Associate Director, due to her dedication to student service, excellence in her job, and teamwork. Crystal’s nomination states, “She is a fine example of demonstrating a student centered approach as she shows a genuine concern for students…She empowers students by helping them make the connection between what they have learned and their career development.” Charlie’s nomination notes she assists multiple students each day with resume reviews, internship assistance, graduate school exploration, job searches, etc. and states “Gloria is instrumental in helping students achieve the University’s vision to produce graduates who will be recruited by the best employers/graduate schools and contribute to the economic vitality of the state/nation.” One student said, “I’m not sure if you hear this often, but you are such a gem on this campus. I do not think I would have been accepted into this program [at Washington Center] if it was not for you and your help.” A letter of support from Aaron Basko, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, stated, “Gloria is an essential part of keeping our office on the cutting edge of job trends in the use of technology … She is an insatiable researcher on job data and has a keen ability to match students with an opportunity.” In closing Aaron continued, “Gloria is an excellent example of a hard-working Salisbury University staff member, who goes over and above, sacrifices her personal time, and is fully committed to student success and professionalism.”
