Eric Rose
Eric Rose
Network Architect
Information Technology
Eric Rose was nominated by Dr. Simeon Ananou, Chief Information Officer, Information Technology, for his commitment to excellence, innovation and initiative. The nomination recognized, “He constantly goes above and beyond what is expected in his position in a unique way. Eric likes to innovate and enjoys bringing new solutions to the forefront to help address university needs…Eric has taken it upon himself to spearhead a wireless mobile display technology project…which will enable parts of the SU community to wirelessly project their computer screen in way that improves collaboration for group settings. Eric has also spent the last 8 months tirelessly designing the new network in the residence halls. Not only does this type of work require a significant amount of time, but it also requires a lot of engineering and creativity. He has gone out of his way to help students day and night and has manually configured and deployed over 20 wireless access points within the residence halls to help students get online.” Letters of support received with Eric’s nomination, highlighted his valuable work in the Honors House and Maggs Gymnasium which has significantly improved the wireless capabilities in these spaces. In closing, the nomination stated, “Eric takes personal pride in the services that are provided to our students, faculty and staff and it shows.”
