Sandra Bradley
Sandra Bradley
Administrative Commander/ Lieutenant
University Police
Sandra was nominated by the Chief of University Police, Edwin Lashley, for significant contributions to the University Police Department and her unsurpassed leadership. In the nomination, Chief Lashley stated that Sandra’s 'relentless leadership was instrumental to the development of 189 professional standards set forth by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). As a result, Salisbury University has joined a relatively select number of police agencies that have earned accreditation status.' Her persistence and dedication has had a substantial impact on Salisbury University. Accreditation will “strengthen crime prevention and control capabilities; formalize essential management procedures; establish fair and nondiscriminatory personnel practices; improve service delivery; solidify interagency cooperation and coordination; and increase community and staff confidence in the agency.” In closing, Chief Lashley commented that Sandra’s efforts went beyond the call of duty and that the accreditation approval is a 'vital and historic achievement [and] will greatly benefit Salisbury University for years to come.'
