Kathy was nominated for her dedication and creativity. The nomination form notes that regardless of the situation, which at times involves oncoming cyclists or quarterbacks, lab rodents, heights, day, night, or snowfall; Kathy will “do whatever it takes to get the shot.” She is simply dedicated to capturing the essence of SU. Kathy does this not only by being in the right spot at the right time, which sometimes seems like everywhere at once, she does so with her “creativity and great eye for what makes a good image.” The visual images Kathy captures are used to enhance SU’s website and publications. The images reflect SU’s energetic and engaged students, faculty and staff and impact how SU is perceived by people outside the SU Community. As the nomination notes in closing, “they literally see SU through her eyes.”
