Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I for the Department of Nursing.
Primary Job Duties: Provides a full-range of administrative support to the faculty and staff within the Department of Nursing including, but not limited to: front-desk customer service, phone coverage, record/disseminate minutes of department meetings, support departmental committee work, maintains records for accreditation purposes, maintain and update the departmental website, preparing purchase requisitions/general work orders, creating hard copy and digital files and records, scheduling events and activities. Responsible for creating/maintaining class schedule, monitor student compliance with program requirements, processes incoming student applications/scholarships.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience providing administrative support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Must possess: excellent interpersonal, customer service, administrative, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, be flexible and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; ability to work well under pressure; demonstrate initiative; project a professional image; and, work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of college. Experience with website editing and PeopleSoft software.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $34,075 which is approximately $16.34 per hour.
