Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II – Facilities and Capital Planning.
Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, supports the office of the AVP for Facilities & Capital Management, including the Director of Architectural & Engineering Services and the Director of Campus Sustainability & Environmental Safety. Provides moderately complex administrative secretarial and clerical support. Work requires thorough knowledge of the organization and programs where assigned for the efficient operation of this group. Maintains MasterWorks Specifications software; builds and maintains Access Database for all Project archival and retrieval purposes, and supports continual review and updating of applicable databases.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Three years administrative experience, with one year of primary support of a key administrator; Working knowledge of MicroSoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Word and Excel and ability to learn other related software programs is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires command of business English, spelling and grammar; must have some working knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques in collecting, compiling and organizing data and information, maintain and update databases with some analytical insight, ability to establish and maintain working relationships, perform mathematical computations within Excel spreadsheets, ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities. Ability to compile data and information from Facilities Planning and Architectural and Engineering staff into reports. Ability to understand CSI Standards and DBM/State Space Reporting Guidelines.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $35,728 annually, which is approximately $17.13 per hour.
