Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I in the Department of Nursing. This position will support the Maryland Nurse Educator Portal Grant project, a multi-faceted program to develop a web-based “one-stop-shop” for nurses who are interested in careers in nursing education. The portal will also connect interested nurses with schools of nursing and health care organizations having open full and part-time teaching/educator positions.
Primary Job Duties: Assist Project Directors and other Maryland Nurse Educator Career Portal (ECaP) grant personnel with budget and document management, participate in the procurement process, assist with processing sub-award and employment contracts, record/disseminate minutes of all grant meetings, process invoices for consultant services, schedule site visits at Maryland schools and healthcare organizations, field queries about ECaP use, manage basic technical issues with the website, and facilitate communication between all project participants.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience providing administrative support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Must possess excellent: organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, administrative, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in order to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate initiative, project a professional image, and work independently or as part of a team while executing complex and continuing assignments.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of college. Grant management experience and working knowledge of website editing and Canvas Learning Management System.
This is a full-time, 5-year grant-funded position with benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, prescription, leave, and retirement. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Minimum starting salary is $34,075 which is approximately $16.34 per hour.
