Functional/Technical Analyst
Staff Position (11562)

Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 58 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Functional/Technical Analyst.

Primary Job Duties: Reporting to the Registrar, assist in the support of the technology function within the Registrar’s Office in all enrollment reporting for NSC and NSLDS for financial aid purposes; running of automated processes including term activations and enrollment appointments; construction of new/maintenance of current degree audit and curriculum; and other programming/technology support to include, but not limited to: extracting and analyzing data utilizing tools such as Query Manager and Microsoft Excel; filter and manipulate data to meet changing reporting criteria and demands; explore system delivered enhancements and their setup and configuration; provide technical business requirements and details for system enhancements; test and validate enhancements; and troubleshoot data/processes/systems as directed within the Registrar’s Office.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Info Systems/Computer Applications or related field; 1-3 years of related experience; working knowledge of SQL.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Preferred Qualifications: PeopleSoft or other Student Information System experience; experience with academic student records requirements and processes.

This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
