Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Storekeeper III.
Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, receives, stores, and distributes supplies, materials and equipment while ensuring policies, procedures, and assignments are followed. Supervises the activities of Central Receiving and campus events set-ups as well as campus office moves. Supervises and trains subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and/or GED. Five years related work experience as well as demonstrated knowledge of computers for e-mail and data entry for receiving purposes. This position requires a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification of Fork Lift Operation. Experience with the use of warehouse material handling equipment, i.e. Fork Lift, hand truck, pallet jack, etc.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Thorough knowledge of procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials and equipment. Skill in operating warehouse material handling equipment; in providing guidance and instruction to others. Ability to perform basic mathematics; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to supervise and train subordinate personnel; to operate computers and other standard office equipment; to establish and maintain effective work relationships; to perform extensive standing, walking and climbing; to lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $35,728 annually, which is approximately $17.13 per hour. This position is considered essential and will be called upon to provide emergency coverage when necessary.
