Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 58 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Office Clerk II for the Office of Admissions.

Primary Job Duties: Serve as one of the department’s main customer service contacts receiving and responding to inquiries from prospective student applicants and their parents by handling one of three incoming phone lines. Responsible for monitoring, proofreading, and processing all outgoing department communications (letters, cards, emails) to the freshmen and international student populations through use of the department’s CRM database. Also responsible for additional CRM related tasks such as data load file preparation and various areas of data clean up.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two years clerical work experience. MicroSoft Office experience, particularly Word and Excel.

General office knowledge and experience. Specific skills required are: excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for handling incoming phone inquiries; ability to understand and communicate departmental policies and procedures to prospective students and their families; strong oral and written communication skills; proofreading skills with strong attention to detail; professionalism and organization in a fast-paced, high volume work environment; ability to multi-task; ability to understand and interpret information regarding student data in different databases used by the department.

Preferred Qualifications: Database and CRM experience.

This is a full-time non-exempt state position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $28,956 annually which is approximately $13.88 per hour.
