The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Salisbury University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science.
Primary Job Duties: Teaching introductory computer science courses as well as a broad range of upper level computer science courses. Candidates will be considered who have an extensive background and/or knowledge in database systems, database server administration, and web development and integration of database systems. In particular, we are looking for a strong research record in the areas of formal programming languages, probabilistic models, theoretical foundations of computing, and algorithms.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science. We require at least two years of full-time college and university level teaching in computer science with a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate research and scholarly activities. Candidates must also be proficient in several modern procedural, object-oriented, and functional programming languages. Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
