The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Salisbury University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is a tenure-track position.
Primary Job Duties: Teaching introductory mathematics courses as well as a broad range of upper level mathematics courses. Academic advising and student mentoring are expected as well as conducting undergraduate research and scholarly activities.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Sciences, or related field. If ABD, would be hired at the rank of Instructor with the requirement that the candidate completes doctoral degree within the first year of employment. Demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research, and curriculum development.
Preferred Qualifications: Background and interest in teaching courses supporting our statistics, applied mathematics, and/or actuarial science programs.
