Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I in the Writing Center.
Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision provides a full-range of administrative support to the faculty and staff within the University Writing Center (UWC), including front-desk customer service, phone/office coverage, responding to emails, processing mail, preparing hiring paperwork and other requests/forms, maintaining computer and room access, scheduling student workers, events and activities.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, 2 years’ experience in administrative support function or 30 college credits equal one year of experience requiring a total of 60 credits.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: This position requires excellent interpersonal, student oriented, customer service, administrative, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task and be flexible; demonstrate initiative, project a professional image, and work independently or as part of a team. Microsoft suite and email required.
This is a part-time (19 hours per week) non-exempt contingent position without benefits. Minimum starting salary is $14.58 per hour.
