The Department of Teacher Education at Salisbury University is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated assistant professor, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2014.
Area of Specialization: Early Childhood Education
Primary Job Duties: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood Education with a focus on enhancing the academic achievement of diverse learners. Research, scholarly activity, and community service are expected. Potential work with Professional Development Schools. Other opportunities may include, but are not limited to, supervision of students in the field, grant participation, university and public school collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., Ed.D., or ABD status in a doctoral program in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. If ABD: would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with requirement that candidate complete doctoral degree within one year from date of hire. At least three years of teaching experience in early childhood settings is required.

Appointment will be contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. and is expected to begin August 2014.
