The Dining Services Department at Salisbury University is accepting applications for Contingent I Food Service Aid position in Dining Services in an effort to maintain a pool of applicants for future openings. Once you have applied, if you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted.
Primary Job Duties: Provide routine assistance in the preparation and serving of food; set up and break down service lines; cashiering; maintain safe and sanitary conditions; operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, mixers, toasters, etc.; consistently demonstrates excellent customer service skills to all internal and external customers and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: One year food service experience preferred.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and write; perform basic arithmetic computations; operate food service equipment; follow instructions; and lift, transport and stock food service supplies, materials and equipment are required. Must be well organized, flexible, and a strong team player with the ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service.
These are part-time (19 hour) non-exempt contingent positions with no benefits. Working periods include late-August through mid-December and late-January through late-May; work schedules within these periods will vary based upon the needs of the University.
