The Department of Nursing at Salisbury University is accepting applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor for Fall 2014.

Position 2 opening #11006.

Primary Job Duties: Teaching, engaging in scholarship and professional development, serving on departmental committees, advising students, and participating in University activities. Able to use effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field to teach community-based interdisciplinary care. Master's degree (hired at rank of instructor) will be considered. For nursing applicants, must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland, or be eligible for such licensure.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Specialization in community-based health care with experiences with underserved/vulnerable populations, interdisciplinary practice, emerging technologies to improve health outcomes, and cultural competency. Preference given to those with experience teaching in a doctoral program and/or current certification as a nurse practitioner. Must be able to teach undergraduate students in classroom and clinical courses.
