Timeline for Fall 2016 Applicants

General Requirements:

  • Full-time, undergraduate student
  • Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA
  • Cannot be on any type of University probation nd hold the RA position at the same time
  • Serve as an RA for the entire academic year (may not student teach)
  • Sign up for housing for next year
  • Attend all departmental trainings
  • November 20, 2015: RA Rehire Application Opens.
  • January 11, 2016: RA Rehire application due!
  • February 4-12, 2016: Formal individual interviews begin with Housing and Residence Life Staff.
  • Early March: Candidates will be notified by whether or not they are being offered a continuing staff position.   

Please note that re-appointment is not automatic. Returning staff members will be expected to perform at an above average or exceptional level in all of the responsibilities of the position, while at the same time, providing direction through high quality programming, exhibiting exemplary role modeling behaviors, and sharing their expertise and experience with new staff members.
