All student rooms are equipped
with an Ethernet connection for each student. All of the academic
buildings on campus are wireless, so a wireless internet card would be
helpful for students who would like to do work outside of their rooms. When students arrive on campus they will have access to and are required to install campus provided anti-virus software before accessing the internet. It is helpful to have all previous anti-virus software removed from the system before bringing it to campus. Below are suggestions from the IT office for students who are going to be purchasing a new computer. There are
computer labs that are located in the academic buildings and in Fulton
Hall that are available for student use. They are connected to the
Salisbury University Network and students each have reserved space for
saving documents. The computer labs are also available for students
who need to print documents for class. Each student is allowed to
print 300 pages a week free of charge. Any additional pages the
student wants to print they need to purchase at the printer. |
