On-Line New Student Sign-Up Information Sheet

Important Information

*****NOTE****

Most computers have several pop-up blockers.  You may need to disengage them before you begin.  In Internet Explorer, the pop-up message will usually appear in a faint yellow colored horizontal box at the top of the webpage.  Your pop-up blocker may be from a Yahoo or Google toolbar.  Each has a pop-up blocker icon on the toolbar.  In any pop-up blocker issue, you should be able to allow pop-ups by right-clicking on the horizontal message box in Internet Explorer or the applicable toolbar icons.

Step 1: Getting Started

You will need these things ready before you begin:

  1. Check book for e-check or Credit Card (MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
  2. Your student Gullnet user ID and password (your user ID is the first initial of your first and last name and the last 5 digits of your student ID number ex. xy12345.  If you cannot remember your password, use the “Forgot My Password” link and your new password will be e-mail to you).
  3. If interested, the name of Living Learning Community (LLC) you would like to try to live in (space is limited in these communities, especially for Spring 2010).
  4. The Meal Plan you would like to request (all on campus students must choose the A, B or C meal plan).

Step 2:  Logging On

  • Go to the Salisbury University Gullnet website: http://www.salisbury.edu/gullnet
  • Click the log on tab and enter your username and password.   
  • Once logged in, from the menu under self service on the left hand side, select Housing Application
  • On the next page, select the “Add a New Housing Application” Tab

Step 3:  Payment Page

  • Select the type of payment you would like to use: Electronic Check or Credit Card
  • Electronic Check (ACH) - accept the terms and conditions by checking the box at the top, enter your e-mail address, bank name, routing number and account number and acknowledge the checking agreement by checking the box at the bottom and click Submit.
  • Credit card – We accept MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  Accept the terms and conditions, enter your e-mail address, select your card type, enter your account number, expiration date and the name on the card and click submit.
  • With Both payments types it will show a payment confirmation page.  Click Finish to continue to the application.

Step 4:  Application

You will now need to fill out the entire application.

  1. Choose a meal plan.
  2. If there is a medical condition or disability that would influence assignment, please indicate and describe if applicable so we can best fit your needs then hit continue.
  3. Indicate if you have any medical conditions that may influence or restrict your assignment.  If applicable, please provide detailed information so we can best fit your needs.
  4. Select a living option.  This is not required but is recommended for those students interested in being included in a living-learning community.  For further descriptions of these living-learning communities, visit our website at http://www.salisbury.edu/housing.  Click Continue.
  5. Select your answer to the six roommate matching questions and click Continue.
  6. If you selected a living-learning community in step 4, you will be asked to write a short response explaining why you want to be a member of this community. Check the agreement boxes acknowledging that you understand the requirements of the community. Click Continue.
  7. Agree to the terms and conditions of the housing contract by entering yes next to each statement.  Electronically sign the contract by checking the electronic signature box and typing in the student signature and parent signature if under 18.  Upon typing your name you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the Residence Hall Contract and the Resident Hall Information booklet. These publications are available on our web site at www.salisbury.edu/housing.  Click Submit Completed Application.

Step 5:  Confirmation

The final page will thank you for your application.  This means you have completed the application process. Click Finish.
