Assignments - Incoming Freshmen
Students who are given a reserved housing status upon admission to
Salisbury University must then complete the housing application and
pay the housing deposit during
the application period in order to be eligible for an assignment.
After the application process is completed, your reserved status will
be changed to guaranteed status.
Students are assigned housing by the date they pay the
housing deposit. Once assignments are distributed there is a housing freeze
through the third week of the upcoming semester. This means
you will be unable to request a move from the room you have been assigned.

May as the Admission Office receives your $200 Acceptance Fee.

On-Campus Housing Waiting
List
Students who are given "waiting list" status by the Office of Admissions
are placed on the waiting list based on the date Salisbury University
received the student's admission deposit.
Current students are placed
on the waiting list on the date they complete the waiting list application
in the housing office. There is no
commitment by the students to live on campus when they are placed on the
waiting list.
We will offer housing to students on the waiting list as soon as space
becomes available. We recognize that the earlier the offer, the better for
the student and family. If your number-one choice is to live on campus, we
ask that you check with the Housing Office before you solidify any
off-campus plans. We will inform you of where we are in the process at that
time.
To begin to explore housing options, please refer to the
off campus housing
website. It has a number of different options that will assist you in
the process to secure housing. We recommend that you begin the process of
looking for off campus housing when you receive your waiting-list status.
Summer and Winter Housing
Students who wish to live
on-campus during the summer sessions or winter session need to
visit the housing office to complete a room reservation. Students are
eligible to live on-campus if they are enrolled in classes or work
on-campus. Students who are working on-campus need to bring their work
contract with them when they complete the room reservation.
